Over the course of my blogging career, I’ve been talking about getting involved at school and with the community. Now, I’m going to talk about getting – or rather staying – involved with your classmates.
These are the people you spend the most time with as a student, so you should try and keep in touch with some of them during your educational experience and after you graduate.
Although you are busy during school, try to plan a few class outings throughout the year. This will help you get to know your classmates’ true personalities – not just how they are in a stressed-out spastic state.
Here are a few great pubs and bars to plan your parties at. Most of them offer guestlists, so you won’t have to waste precious drinking time in line.
Pubs and Bars? You just said the magic words!
I agree on getting to know people out of the classroom. School can cause you only to see one side of a person. A social setting (especially one that comes with beer!) can help you find the people you actually connect with.
I feel bad about how few of those social affairs I attended during the school year. I agree that more social time would help us get to know one another without the stress of school project group work. I can’t help feeling I won’t see most of the people I met in Grant Mac PR, regardless of how small the Edmonton PR world is. I can’t help feeling a few more social outings would have made that a little less inevitable.
I agree Patrick, we should have planned more gatherings. But like I said before, its hard not to get caught up in the stress that goes along with school.
Make sure you come to the party on friday!
